This blog will outline my struggle with infertility, the ultimate decision to pursue adoption and the rewards and challenges of parenting while older. I have been married to my awesome husband, Aaron for 17 years. I have 3 wonderful adult step children and we have a 4-year-old son, adopted from birth. This journey of life has had its twist and turns yet I wouldn’t trade what I have now for the world.
The goal for this blog is two-fold: (1) To share a retrospective of my journey to motherhood, current insight into raising a toddler and beyond, and to provide insight gained from my experiences which will hopefully offer validation and encouragement to other women in similar predicaments. (2) To provide a long overdue catharsis for myself. It is my hope that the vulnerability required to do justice to this blog will be both consequential and rewarding to both myself and the readers.
